Senior Associate/ Studio Lead - Landscape Architecture
- Lead commercial performance and project governance across Sydney''s project portfolio.

A newly created, high-impact leadership position sitting at the intersection of project delivery, commercial management, and studio operations for an industry-leading, Landscape Architecture & Urban Design specialist.
Equating to a Senior Associate/ Associate Director level within the business, this role focuses on the commercial health and operational delivery across the practice's entire Sydney project portfolio. Partnering directly with Studio Directors, Project Leaders, and exec group, you will take ownership of commercial performance, contract risk, workforce resourcing, and project governance.
Ultimately, you will drive the commercial and operational engine room, enabling the practice's design leaders to focus on design excellence and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities

Commercial Performance: Lead portfolio-wide commercial reporting, fee development, tender pricing, and financial forecasting.

Contracts & Risk: Review client contracts, identify commercial risks, and set up robust risk management procedures.

Project Governance: Strengthen project management consistency and delivery oversight across all active projects.

Resource Planning: Work alongside leadership on capacity planning, resource allocation, and operational priorities.

Team Mentorship: Coach and upskill Project Leaders to build internal commercial capability and financial confidence across the studio.
Skills & Experience

Commercial, financial, and analytical capability within a project-based consultancy environment (Design, Architecture, Engineering, or Built Environment Professional Services).

Proven experience reviewing contracts, managing project risk, and driving operational efficiency.

Strong stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

Background: Either an industry professional (Landscape Architect, Architect, or PM) stepping into practice operations and business strategy, OR an experienced Commercial/Operations Lead who thrives in a creative consulting environment.
