Job Description
Location: Various Sites, South Australia (DIDO & FIFO options available)
Pay: $50.40 PH + OT + Allowances + Superannuation
Roster/Hours: 12-hour days / 6-7 Days a Week
Duration: Ranges from short-term (weeks) up to 6 months, depending on project
Start: Immediate starts available
The Role
We’re on the lookout for experienced Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters to join shutdown crews across mining and quarry sites throughout South Australia. Both DIDO and FIFO positions are available, with a range of contract lengths to suit different availability — from short shutdown stints through to longer 6-month placements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Shutdown maintenance, repairs, and installations across mining/quarry plant and equipment
- Fabrication, welding, and structural work (Boilermakers)
- Mechanical fault-finding, overhauls, and equipment servicing (Fitters)
- Working at heights and in confined spaces as required
- Working to strict site safety and production timelines
What You’ll Need
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter
- Working at Heights ticket (within 2 years)
- Confined Space ticket (within 2 years)
- Proof of Australian work rights
- Own PPE and basic hand tools (mandatory)
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a DIDO or FIFO roster
- Prior mining/quarry shutdown experience highly regarded
