About the Role:

DNS BROS Marble and Granite is a fast-growing stone manufacturing business in Queanbeyan, New South Wales – a regional area of Australia. We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Stonemasons to join our team on a full-time basis and progress their career in a fast-paced environment.

The successful applicant will undertake the manufacture and installation of stone products, including precise measuring, reading drawings, installing, polishing and mitring. Experience using CNC machinery and a bridge saw would be an advantage. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while meeting changing priorities and deadlines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

·Taking precise measurements and reading drawings to determine job requirements.

·Measuring, marking and preparing stone for manufacture and installation.

·Manufacturing stone products, including cutting, shaping and finishing stone using hand tools, power tools and specialised machinery.

·Installing, polishing and mitring stone products to the required specifications.

·Manufacturing and installing stone products, including kitchen benchtops and other stone features for residential and commercial projects.

·Using CNC machinery and a bridge saw where required (experience would be an advantage).

·Positioning, aligning and securing stone components during installation.

·Working to shifting priorities, project demands and timelines using sound analytical and problem-solving skills.

·Inspecting completed work to ensure measurements, alignment, finish and workmanship meet required standards.

·Safely handling and moving stone slabs and finished products using appropriate equipment and procedures.

·Maintaining tools, machinery and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

·Following workplace health and safety requirements, including dust-control and silica-exposure procedures.

·Working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

·Completing residential or commercial installation work as required and meeting project deadlines.

Skills and Experience:

The successful applicant should have:

·At least three (3) years of relevant experience as a Stonemason.

·Demonstrated experience in cutting, shaping, polishing, fabricating and installing stone.

·Experience working with natural stone, silica-free/zero-silica engineered stone, porcelain and Dekton products.

·Ability to accurately read and interpret plans, drawings, measurements and specifications.

·Competence in the safe use of stonemasonry tools, power tools and machinery.

·Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

·Good problem-solving and time-management skills.

·Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

·Good communication skills.

·A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

·A valid driver's licence is compulsory. A current White Card, Asbestos Awareness Card and Silica Awareness Card are also compulsory for attending worksites.
