HD Fitter - Underground Gold Mine Operation
Late-model machines. A crew that backs each other. A contractor that trains and promotes its people.
This is a large, remote underground operation running 24/7 with a large workforce with a mixed bag of character and experience. It's a nationally succesful mining contractor with an excellent reputation, with strong retention. You'll work on a modern fleet, mostly consisting of sandvik, alongside experienced fitters who are happy to share their knowledge.
The role
- Workshop: PMs, scheduled maintenance, component changeouts, servicing, repairs, diagnostics and fault finding
- Field: breakdowns, problem solving and drill servicing
The package
- $75-95ph + super, depending on your underground maintenance experience
- 8:6 or 7:7 roster, 12-hour shifts, with Thursday flights from Perth
- Fly direct to site. The airstrip is 5 minutes from camp.
- Large camp with ensuite rooms, AC, gym, pool, squash, basketball, cricket and a tavern
- Regular site social events
- Ongoing OEM and in-house technical and leadership training
You'll bring
- Diesel mechanical trade
- Strong mechanical knowledge, plus hydraulic and electrical basics
- Ability to read schematics and drawings
- A safety-first attitude, a can-do approach and the ability to work autonomously
- Underground hard rock experience (advantageous)
- Dual trade with auto electrical or drill servicing experience (advantageous)
