Zoomfones is a growing retail business specialising in mobile phones, computers, accessories and professional repair services. We currently operate three stores across South West Sydney, with negotiations underway for additional locations as part of our ongoing expansion. We sell a wide range of devices, parts and accessories, and provide fast, reliable repair solutions to our local communities. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to lead operations at our Leppington store and help drive business growth as our network continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail store and its repair service counter.
- Lead, motivate and supervise store team members, including retail sales staff and repair technicians.
- Recruit, train and develop employees, including product knowledge and customer service training.
- Prepare staff rosters, allocate daily workloads and manage labour costs.
- Monitor sales and repair job performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
- Manage stock ordering, spare parts inventory control, supplier relationships and minimise stock loss, coordinating stock transfers between stores where required.
- Ensure phones, computers, accessories and promotional items are displayed attractively and the store is clean and well presented.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, manage repair quotations and turnaround times, and resolve customer enquiries and complaints.
- Provide guidance and support to team members when complex or escalated repair jobs arise, drawing on technical product knowledge to ensure jobs are completed to standard and on time.
- Work with the business owners and other store managers to maintain consistent standards, pricing and procedures across the group.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, warranty obligations, consumer law and company policies.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate business records.
Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience managing staff in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising and staff rostering.
- Sound working knowledge of mobile phones, computers and consumer electronics, with the ability to support and guide technical staff.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
