Business Analyst | SAP Cutover | 10 month contract | Brisbane

This multi-year ERP modernisation initiative will deliver a next-generation SAP S/4HANA platform, transforming core business processes, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing service delivery across the organisation. Working within a highly collaborative program environment, you will play a key role in ensuring a successful transition to the new ERP landscape

Your new role
As the Business Analyst (Cutover), you will support the successful implementation and transition to SAP S/4HANA by working closely with the Cutover Manager, Implementation & Transition Manager, technical teams, and business stakeholders. This is a critical role within a large-scale ERP transformation, focused on coordinating cutover activities, supporting go-live readiness, and ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to the new SAP environment
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting cutover planning, execution, and monitoring activities across multiple workstreams.
  • Maintaining and coordinating detailed cutover schedules, including system downtime, data conversion, and batch processing activities.
  • Supporting cutover rehearsals, go-live simulations, and readiness assessments.
  • Working closely with project schedulers to manage dependencies, risks, issues, and corrective actions.
  • Assisting with technical change and release management activities.
  • Supporting hypercare and post-go-live stabilisation activities.
  • Coordinating stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery outcomes.
  • Providing structured reporting and governance updates to support informed decision-making.
  • Assessing and communicating the impacts of cutover activities on business operations, technology platforms, and end users.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst working on large and complex transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA and broader SAP application landscapes.
  • Experience supporting implementation, cutover, release, transition, or deployment activities within enterprise programs.
  • Strong planning and scheduling capabilities with experience managing complex dependencies.
  • Large-scale government or public sector transformation programs.
  • SAP Signavio (BPMN) experience.
  • Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP or CCBA.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and business analysis frameworks such as BABOK
