Cook

Bajaj Prosperity Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time position suited to someone who works well in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in consistently preparing high-quality meals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
• Preparing ingredients, including vegetables, meats, sauces and garnishes
• Operating cooking equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitoring food quality, portion sizes and presentation
• Maintaining appropriate stock levels and assisting with stock rotation
• Minimising food waste and supporting effective cost control
• Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen
• Complying with food safety, workplace health and safety, and sanitation requirements
• Working effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
• Assisting with the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff where required

To be considered, applicants should have:

• A relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent industry experience
• At least [insert required period] of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen
• Experience preparing Asian-style dishes, particularly wok-based meals, is desirable
• Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene requirements
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Strong teamwork, communication and time-management skills
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
