About the role:
Join one of Australia’s leading stair manufacturers as a full-time Carpenters Assistant! Working across Melbourne, this role is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. You'll join our close-knit, high-performing Installation team and play a vital role in helping to install custom, high-quality staircases across Melbourne.
What you'll be doing:
- Travelling to job sites and assisting our installers (all travel reimbursed)
- Examining and interpreting CAD drawings and calculating the materials/components required
- Laying out and preparing work
- Carrying out work for the manufacture of staircases and staircase components
- Performing order assessments, material ordering and stock takes
- Cleaning machines and work areas daily
- Performing other general duties and carpentry tasks around the factory as required
- Assisting WHS Manager as required
What you'll bring:
- Drivers licence and reliable transport (essential)
- Forklift licence (handy but not essential)
- Building or timber industry experience (preferred)
