Seeking a skilled Accountant or Tax Advisor to provide accurate financial reporting and compliant tax services within a professional accounting practice. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity in a supportive environment.
About the role
- Requirements: Relevant accounting qualifications and experience preparing financial statements, tax returns, and statutory compliance.
- Salary range: Competitive market rate between $80,000 and $110,000 per annum. Depending on experience.
- Location: Metropolitan Melbourne area.
Key responsibilities
- Handle a client portfolio including individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
- Prepare financial statements and various tax returns.
- Manage and review business activity statements and related compliance obligations.
- Offer tax planning advice and contribute to business advisory services.
- Maintain direct communication with clients to nurture strong professional relationships.
- Identify opportunities for tax efficiency and client value-adds.
- Review junior staff work providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Support in addressing complex accounting and taxation matters.
- Ensure timely and accurate client deliverables.
- Collaborate with senior staff on client engagements and special initiatives.
- Mentor and assist with training junior team members.
