Senior Data Migration Consultant
- Lead and deliver end-to-end data migration activities across SAP transformation projects.
- Design and execute data migration strategies including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and validation.
- Collaborate with functional teams and clients to ensure successful data migration and cutover.
We are looking for a Senior SAP Data Migration Consultant to lead and deliver end-to-end data migration activities across SAP transformation projects, including S/4HANA implementations. You will work closely with functional teams and clients to ensure high-quality, accurate, and successful data migration and cutover.
About the Role:
- Lead the planning and execution of end-to-end SAP data migration and cutover activities across implementation projects.
- Design and execute data migration strategies covering data extraction, transformation, cleansing, enrichment, validation, and loading
- Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, technical teams, and client stakeholders to define source-to-target mappings and migration requirements
- Lead mock migrations, test cycles, data validation, reconciliation, and defect resolution to ensure data quality and readiness for go-live
- Analyse data issues, identify root causes, and work with relevant stakeholders to implement appropriate corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain migration plans, mapping documents, reconciliation reports, data quality reports, and sign-off documentation
About You:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering SAP data migration projects across the full migration lifecycle
- Strong experience with SAP data migration tools, including SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM), SAP Data Services (BODS), or LSMW
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
- Hands-on experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases
- Good understanding of SAP master and transactional data across modules such as FICO, SD, MM, or SAP CX
- Proven ability to work with business and technical stakeholders, including leading discussions around data mapping, migration issues, and project readiness
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
Desired Skills:
- Experience with file processing, IDocs, BAPIs, and Web APIs
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation, greenfield or brownfield implementations
- Exposure to complex enterprise data migration and cutover planning
- Experience working in a client-facing SAP consulting environment
