The Opportunity
We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join a team responsible for the reliability, performance and scalability of a large-scale SaaS platform used by organisations across Australia and internationally.

This is a hands-on role combining cloud infrastructure, DevOps, automation and software engineering. You'll play a key part in keeping the platform running smoothly, improving existing systems and introducing new technologies and processes to make things more efficient.

Working closely with engineering and product teams, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of technical challenges, reduce manual work through automation and contribute to the ongoing development of a critical platform.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintaining and improving the reliability, availability, performance and security of SaaS platforms.
  • Developing automation and writing code to reduce manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Managing and optimising cloud infrastructure and serverless services within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Building, maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and contributing to incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Supporting platform scalability, capacity planning and disaster recovery.
  • Working with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and deliver practical solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve platform performance, infrastructure and engineering practices.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Platform Engineering.
  • An understanding of cloud infrastructure and serverless technologies, ideally within Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to Docker and containerisation technologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting using Bash, Python or similar languages.
  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI or Travis CI.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience working with MySQL databases and basic SQL.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Work on a SaaS platform supporting large organisations nationally and internationally.
  • Gain exposure to Google Cloud technologies and modern serverless architecture.
  • Access company-supported Google Cloud training and certifications to support your professional development.
