About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join the maintenance and engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator looking for a stable role with a reputable organisation, working across a range of plant, equipment and infrastructure projects.
The role will involve fabricating, assembling, repairing and installing metal components used throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Cut, weld, shape and assemble structural and sheet metal components
- Fabricate and install frames, supports and plant equipment
- Modify, repair and maintain existing metal structures and equipment
- Assist with maintenance, upgrades and improvement projects
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy
- Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking or Welding
- Proven experience in industrial, manufacturing or plant fabrication
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG and/or stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Experience working with structural steel and sheet metal
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
