A well-established and highly stable food production company based in Noble Park is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their growing maintenance team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering strong hourly rates, long-term job security, regular pay reviews, and ongoing overtime opportunities within a fast-moving production environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance across a busy food-grade manufacturing facility to ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support continuous production operations.
Key duties include:
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and production equipment
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults efficiently
- Responding quickly to breakdowns in a fast-paced FMCG environment
- Supporting production teams to maintain operational efficiency
- Completing scheduled maintenance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining high safety and quality standards at all times
About You
- Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter
- Previous experience within an FMCG or industrial manufacturing environment
- Food manufacturing or food-grade site experience highly regarded, but not essential
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work well within a team
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
