We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team. This role requires a hands‑on, reliable person with a can‑do attitude, attention to detail, strong mechanical background — particularly in forklift maintenance (LPG, Diesel and Electric) — and the ability to work both in the workshop and out in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and effectively maintain a variety of equipment and machinery
- Adhere to company Work Health and Safety procedures
- Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance programs across all equipment
- Diagnose and respond to breakdowns efficiently and effectively
- Accurately record maintenance activities and service history
- Ensure high-quality workmanship across all engineering and maintenance tasks
- Complete allocated tasks efficiently and to a high standard
- Report any issues that may arise when performing work duties to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager. This includes quality, safety and machine reliability or performance issues
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Relevant trade qualifications: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, or Cert III Diesel Mechanic (or other relevant trade)
- Strong mechanical background with proven experience in forklift maintenance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Self‑motivated, organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current Forklift Licence
