SEO Strategist | Up to $120K + Super
A fast-growing, full-service marketing agency based in Sydney is looking for an SEO Strategist to join their team. This is a strategy-first role, not a hands-on-keyboard technical grind.
The team is lean and tight-knit, eight people in the Sydney office plus an offshore team, with direct access to leadership. Recurring revenue is up 25% in the last three months alone, and the agency is still growing fast.
You'll own the strategic direction and client relationship across a portfolio of mid-sized and global B2B and B2C brands, covering technical, on-page, and off-page strategy. The agency leans heavily into AI, with a proprietary SEO growth engine that plugs into client websites and Google Search Console, analyses keyword and content opportunities, and generates content and landing pages at scale. You'll be directing that output and shaping the strategy behind it, backed by a dedicated AI team and content team.

What You'll Be Doing
- Own SEO strategy and the client relationship across a portfolio of mid-sized and global B2B and B2C clients
- Set the strategic direction for technical, on-page, and off-page SEO, backed by AI tooling and a dedicated AI team
- Translate performance data into insights and recommendations tied to real business objectives
- Run reporting sessions and strategic reviews directly with clients
What They're Looking For
- Minimum 4 years' hands-on SEO experience, agency-side preferred
- Strong technical SEO knowledge: crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema
- Confident with tools like Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio
- A strategic mindset, comfortable directing AI-driven SEO output rather than doing all the manual execution yourself
