About the Role:
As an ERP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining internal enterprise systems that support business operations across procurement, logistics, finance and project management. You will play a key role in improving operational efficiency by delivering scalable ERP and software solutions, integrating spatial technologies, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business and operational requirements across construction, finance and project teams to design effective ERP software solutions.
- Design, develop, test and maintain ERP and internal system applications using Java and associated technologies.
- Develop and customise ERP software modules including procurement, inventory, project management and billing components.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services to support system integration and application functionality.
- Design and develop database schemas, queries and data structures using PostgreSQL to support application performance and data integrity.
- Evaluate existing systems to identify technological limitations and implement suitable software improvements.
- Develop and integrate geospatial service components using GeoServer to support GIS-related application features.
- Perform testing, debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve software defects in accordance with quality standards.
- Upgrade and enhance existing applications to improve system efficiency, functionality and user experience.
- Participate in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including design, development, testing and deployment.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, development procedures and user manuals.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations regarding system upgrades, software enhancements and development strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in software or ERP development
- Strong technical experience in: Java (JSP/Servlet), React.js, PostgreSQL, REST API development
- Demonstrated experience in ERP system development (mandatory)
- Exposure to GeoServer or GIS-based applications will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
