About the Role
Wyong Hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist to join its dedicated mental health team. This role focuses on delivering specialist psychiatric care to children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges, in both community and acute settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents
- Working collaboratively with families, schools, and community services to support recovery and wellbeing
- Leading multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning
- Supervising junior medical staff and contributing to training and service development
- Promoting trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and culturally safe care
