What you will be required to do:
Join a fast-paced recycling and waste management facility in a hands-on leadership role, supporting daily plant operations and coordinating shift activities.
- Coordinate and oversee daily shift tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Act as the key point of contact between shift employees and the Shift Supervisor
- Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support
- Assist with the efficient running of plant operations and step in during Supervisor absences
- Report plant issues, breakdowns, and maintenance requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational or equipment issues where possible
- Ensure all employees follow site safety procedures and OHS&E guidelines
- Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing support to team members
- Allocate daily duties based on roster and operational needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
To be successful in the role you will:
- Have previous experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role (preferred)
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
- Have a solid understanding of workplace safety and compliance procedures
- Be hands-on with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Show a high level of reliability, motivation, and work ethic
- Be physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to work with minimal supervision and take initiative
- Have full working rights in Australia (At Least a permanent resident or citizen for this role)
- Have reliable transport to and from site
