The Company 

Sanitarium is a progressive and dynamic business that is Australian owned and produces Australia’s leading breakfast products – Up & Go, So Good, Alternative Dairy Co range and Australia’s favourite breakfast Weet-Bix. 

The Role

We are sourcing a WHS Advisor who will work closely with Production Managers to deliver exceptional WHS performance at our Berkeley Vale and Corella Sites. The role will report to the WHS Manager.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting a safety culture by leading, coaching, and mentoring key stakeholders to develop safety leadership skills and behaviours.
  • Ensure compliance against legislative WHS requirements and best practice.
  • Interpret, advise on and apply WHS legislation to all Sanitarium activities.
  • Assisting in the development of WHS strategies.
  • Developing and delivering WHS training programs.
  • Lead incident investigations as required.
  • Drive initiatives to ensure incidents and hazards are reported in a timely manner.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or equivalent. 
  • At least 3+ years' experience in a WHS role.
  • Experience driving a safety culture by coaching and mentoring teams to develop safety leadership skills and behaviours.
  • Experience developing WHS policies and procedures.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Workers Compensation.
  • Proven ability to engage and work collaboratively with key stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting audits and writing reports.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • You are self-starter with the ability hit the ground running building meaning relationships with key stakeholders.
