We are seeking an experienced CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) Tech Lead to join a high-performing team delivering large-scale identity solutions in a complex and security-focused environment.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will lead the implementation of CIAM solutions, contribute directly to software development, and mentor engineers while driving technical excellence. You will work on enterprise-scale identity platforms supporting millions of users and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative identity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and delivery of CIAM solutions.
• Design and develop high-quality software using modern engineering practices.
• Perform code reviews and maintain a high-quality, maintainable codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Contribute to solution architecture and technical design decisions.
• Support estimation, planning, and delivery activities.
• Mentor and upskill team members, fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
• Evaluate and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate identity solutions across enterprise systems.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.

Essential Experience

• Advanced object-oriented programming skills with extensive experience in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong experience in unit and integration testing, including frameworks such as Jest.
• Proven experience delivering complex CIAM solutions.
• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Experience customising and integrating leadingCIAM platforms such as:
  • Auth0
  • Okta
  • ForgeRock
  • Ping Identity
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as:
  • GitHub Copilot
  • Claude Code
  • Cursor
  • Similar productivity and code-quality tools
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering team members.

Highly Desirable

• Experience configuring and customising SaaS-based CIAM services.
• Experience developing and integratingmicroservices in cloud environments such as:
  • AWS
  • Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
