About the role
We are specifically seeking Australian citizens, residents and New Zealand citizens who are open to making the move to Australia and continuing (or advancing) their career within a leading global consultancy.
This role can be based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.
You will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors such as data centres, healthcare, defence, high-rise, education, and major refurbishments. Currently we have a strong and diverse pipeline of work across our key sectors and this role will give the opportunity for the right candidate to expand and grow our pipeline of hydraulics work.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are well-designed, thoroughly reviewed, and delivered to a high standard. You’ll also play an important role in client engagement and expanding our presence in the market.
Key responsibilities
Develop hydraulic building services designs, including water supply, sewerage, stormwater, and gas systems
Lead client-facing project delivery from concept through to construction
Prepare technical documentation, designs, specifications, and tender packages
Undertake site inspections, defect reporting, and respond to RFIs during construction
Manage competing priorities to meet project deadlines and client expectations
Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development
Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and Building Codes (support provided for NZ candidates transitioning to AU standards)
Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
About you
Degree qualified in Engineering (or equivalent)
Proven experience in hydraulic building services design within a consultancy environment
Strong technical understanding of design and construction processes
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and make sound business decisions
Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to prioritise, multitask, and deliver high-quality outcomes
Ideally, you bring an existing industry network or the ability to build one quickly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
