Cylindrical Grinder
- Operate various sizes of cylindrical grinders up to 5 meters long.
- Complete tasks such as grinding chrome off rods and polishing them for chroming.
- Lead a small team of operators while ensuring workflow efficiency.
The Opportunity
Due to consistent growth and success across our business, Hardchrome Sales is now seeking a Cylindrical Grinder to join our well-equipped workshop located at Welshpool WA 6106.
We are looking for Afternoon shift 3.30pm till midnight Overtime is available.
You will be hands-on with operating various sizes of cylindrical grinders (up to 5 meters long) and completing tasks such as grinding chrome off rods, polishing them for chroming, and finishing jobs post-chroming. Training will be provided where required.
About You
- Proven experience as a grinding operator or experience with hard chrome plating
- Previous experience in a leading hand or supervisory role (desirable)
- Read drawings, interpret written and verbal work instructions
- Ability to read and measure with metric and imperial micrometers (desirable)
- Able to lead by example and support a small team of operators
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads, allocate tasks, and maintain workflow efficiency
- A proactive and positive 'can do' attitude with a commitment to safety
