HSEQ Advisor | Civil Infrastructure
My client is a highly respected civil contractor with over 40 years of experience delivering major infrastructure projects across Australia. With a strong reputation for quality, safety and leadership, they continue to grow and are seeking a HSEQ Advisor to join their team.
The Opportunity
Supporting the HSE Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems across the business. Working closely with operational teams, you'll help drive compliance, promote a positive safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the HSEQ Management System and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Coordinate site inductions and safety training.
- Develop and review SWMS, risk assessments and HSEQ documentation.
- Maintain compliance records, reporting and HSEQ statistics.
- Support environmental and quality management initiatives.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Manage non-conformances and continuous improvement activities.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in an HSEQ role within civil construction, infrastructure or a similar industry.
- Knowledge of WHS legislation and Integrated Management Systems.
- Experience preparing SWMS, risk assessments and HSEQ documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience using HSEQ software and Microsoft Office.
Highly regarded:
- Lead Auditor qualification (ISO).
- ICAM or similar incident investigation training.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Environmental or sustainability qualifications.
