Electronic Security Technician

Mid North Coast, NSW (Taree, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour)

About the Role

Stowe has full-time opportunities for experienced and skilled licensed Electronic Security Technicians to join our service and maintenance teams on the Mid North Coast, NSW (Taree, Port Macquarie or Coffs Harbour).

As an Electronic Security Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, fault-finding, and servicing of integrated electronic security systems. You will work across a variety of sites and technologies, ensuring systems operate reliably and meet client expectations.

To be considered for these positions, applicants must hold the following:

• NSW Class 2C Security Licence (Security Equipment Specialist)
• Current Open Driver's Licence
• General Construction Induction Card (white card)
• Relevant trade qualification or industry experience
• Open Cablers Licence (preferred)
• Current National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
• Current Electrical licence (preferred, not essential)

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of electronic security systems
• Maintenance and servicing of access control, CCTV, intercom, and intrusion detection system
• Fault diagnosis and rectification of security system issues
• Programming and configuration of security platforms
• Testing and commissioning of new installations
• Completion of service reports and project documentation
• Providing technical support to clients and project teams
• Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards and company procedures
• Participating in after-hours support and on-call rosters when required

About You

Successful applicants must have:

• Previous experience working as an Electronic Security Technician

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

• Experience commissioning and servicing integrated security systems

• The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• A commitment to quality workmanship and safety

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following systems would be highly regarded:

• Integriti
• Gallagher
• Tecom
• Milestone
• Genetec
• Avigilon
