You will be rewarded with staff benefits including free gym membership. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Swim School Captain to join our team at Nillumbik Leisure. Based out of Eltham Leisure Centre, this role is ideal for a motivated and experienced swim teacher who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey while continuing to make a meaningful impact in and around the pool. As Swim School Captain, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to our team of swim instructors, helping to deliver a safe, engaging and high-quality Learn to Swim program. You will work closely with the Head of Aquatics and Aquatic Programs Coordinator to ensure lessons are delivered to a consistently high standard, support instructor development, and help create a positive experience for students and families. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Nationally recognised Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification.
• Nationally recognised Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (Infants and Preschool) qualification.
• Assessor qualifications (desired, not essential).
• Previous experience in swim school or aquatics management.
• The position will be subject to relevant pre-employment checks such as a Police Check and a current Working with Children’s Check or equivalent.
• The successful applicant must hold or be willing to attain first aid and CPR qualifications.
