Financial Accountant

We’re partnering with a well-established Queensland-based construction and building services business that delivers high-quality residential, multi-residential and commercial projects across the region. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team, partner directly with the CFO and support the day-to-day and month-end financial operations of the business.

This role would suit an Accountant who enjoys working in a project-based / construction environment, with exposure across management accounting, job costing and financial reporting.

The Role:

• Assist with month-end close, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare management reports, P&L and variance analysis
• Job costing and project financial reporting
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable oversight/support
• BAS, GST and compliance support
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Partner with project and operational teams on financial matters

About You:

• Degree qualified in AccountinG
• CA/CPA Qualified or working towards
• 2+ years’ experience in an Accountant role
• experience within construction, engineering or project-based environments highly regarded

• Strong Excel skills and exposure to accounting systems 
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment
