About the company:
Our client is a well-established veterinary pharmaceutical company which develops products for livestock, poultry and companion animals.

About the role:
This is a hands-on QC Chemist role focused on HPLC testing, supporting routine quality control and stability programs within a small team.

Duties:

  • Perform HPLC and UPLC analysis on finished products
  • Conduct stability and finished product testing
  • Carry out wet chemistry testing including pH, titration, and viscosity
  • Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain lab inventory
  • Raise out of specification reports and change controls
  • Maintain accurate documentation (paper-based and electronic systems)
  • Support general lab operations including cleaning and ad hoc tasks

Skills/experience:

  • Essential: Industry HPLC experience in a GMP-regulated lab (pharma or veterinary)
  • Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience performing assay and finished product testing
  • Hands-on wet chemistry experience (titration, pH, viscosity)
  • Experience raising OOS, deviations, and change controls
  • Exposure to QMS/cQMS systems
  • Confident working independently and managing own testing workload
  • Minimum 2 years in a QC laboratory preferred
