This high-growth fintech organisation is on an exciting journey to build a market-leading payments platform used by public sector organisations across Australia and international markets. Working with councils and other clients, the business delivers innovative payment, billing and direct debit solutions that improve customer experience and streamline revenue collection. As they continue to invest in product innovation and platform evolution, they are seeking a Product Manager to help shape the future of their platform and customer offering.
Your new role
This is a unique opportunity for either an experienced Product Manager or a local government professional looking to transition into product management.Working at the intersection of technology, customer experience and business operations, you will play a key role in shaping products that support councils and public sector organisations in managing rates, payments, billing, direct debit arrangements and customer interactions.You will:-
- Review existing product capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement
- Help define and influence the product roadmap
- Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams
- Support platform integration initiatives across multiple systems
- Translate customer and business needs into product enhancements
- Contribute to the continued evolution of a market-leading payments platform
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring either:
Product Management Pathway
- Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role
- Exposure to payments, fintech, billing, or revenue solutions
- Experience managing product enhancements, roadmaps, or integrations
Local Government pathway
- Experience within Property & Rating, Revenue, Rates, Customer Experience, Finance, or Digital teams within local government
- Experience working with platforms such as TechnologyOne CiA Property & Rating, Civica Authority, or similar council systems
- Strong understanding of rates, revenue collection, direct debits, payment plans, and customer payment journeys
In addition, you will bring:-
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- A customer-focused mindset
- The ability to identify opportunities for process and product improvement
- A genuine interest in technology and product management
Previous experience working with councils or public sector organisations will be highly regarded.What you'll get in return
