Enterprise Risk Officer - 6 Month Contract

Company overview: 
A leading Australian organisation responsible for maintaining the stability, resilience and soundness of the financial system. It works closely with financial institutions and key industry stakeholders to promote strong risk management, governance and long-term financial resilience across the sector.

Responsibilities:

• Support the identification, assessment and ongoing monitoring of operational and enterprise risks, providing practical insights and updates to key stakeholders.
• Coordinate risk assessments, control reviews, risk workshops and incident/action tracking to support effective risk management across the organisation.
• Develop risk reporting, dashboards, committee papers and executive briefing materials, translating risk information into clear and actionable insights.
• Provide risk support across strategic projects, organisational change and compliance activities, helping teams identify and manage emerging risks.
• Contribute to risk culture and capability initiatives, as well as the continuous improvement of risk frameworks, processes, tools and reporting.

Wht you'll need to succeed: 

• Strong background in operational risk, enterprise risk, governance, or compliance from the Financial Services/Professional Services sector
• Experience supporting risk assessments, control assurance, governance or broader risk management activities within a complex organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to assess information, identify key risks and develop practical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience preparing clear reports and presentations for management audiences
