KEY POINTS WE FOUND
  • Provide strategic guidance to customers on geospatial technology and solutions.
  • Build long-term partnerships with customers to maximise their GIS investment.
  • Deliver high-impact advisory consulting that aligns business strategy with geospatial capabilities.

We deliver the best GIS solutions in the world, with the brightest minds on the map.

What are the issues that matter most to you? Climate change, national security, disaster response?

At Esri Australia you'll work with people at the forefront of these issues, connect them with the best tech and solutions and get an inside look into the real-world challenges that shape our future.

We turn problems into opportunities, and that takes two things:

  • The most powerful GIS technology and solutions.
  • Driven, talented, and passionately curious people.

Here we connect them, and that’s how we achieve incredible things for communities, economies, and for your career.

About the Role

You are a trusted geospatial advisor who provides best practice guidance to help customers maximise the value of their GIS investment and achieve meaningful business outcomes. As a central part of the Enterprise Advantage Program (EAP), you develop a deep understanding of each customer’s strategic, operational, and technical objectives, and align their spatial capabilities to those goals.

Your role is to influence, coach, and partner with customers as they mature their geospatial vision—bridging the gap between business needs and technical delivery. Through ongoing engagement and proactive leadership, you build a long term, trusted partnership that drives measurable impact and enables customers to confidently realise the full potential of geospatial intelligence.

Your day to day will include:

  • Partner with key EAP customers to understand their strategic priorities, deliver high value geospatial outcomes, and guide them on a path that supports successful adoption and long term value realisation.
  • Provide strategic guidance to customers on product lifecycle changes and emerging technology shifts, helping them assess risks, plan transitions, and maintain long term operational continuity.
  • Deliver high impact advisory consulting that unifies business strategy with geospatial capability, improves governance and maturity, and optimises operating models.
  • Apply deep technical expertise to guide customers on architecture, platform optimisation, integration patterns, and workflow improvements that drive measurable performance and operational value.
  • Collaborate with key Esri Australia teams to strategically coordinate resources that enable successful customer outcomes and support long term engagement plans.
  • Bring a positive, growth oriented mindset and actively contribute to the evolution of our advisory practice through thought leadership, strategic insight, and continual improvement.
  • Oversee financial performance of billable engagements, including revenue planning, cost management, and accurate time reporting.
  • Partner with Sales to advance and strengthen the EAP value proposition.

About You

We are looking for an experienced professional who will be able to utilise their knowledge of geospatial and Esri technology, coupled with proven strengths in consulting, to create, build and maintain exceptional customer relationships and serve as an Esri Australia advisor and advocate.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • 5+ years of consultative engagement experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience implementing or applying GIS concepts using Esri technology in various customer environments, and strong knowledge/experience with Esri Enterprise software offerings in desktop, server, and online/web technologies.
  • Outstanding communicator able to translate complex ideas simply and gain credibility with senior leaders and technical experts alike.
  • You demonstrate high emotional intelligence, enabling you to navigate complex stakeholders and build strong, lasting customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to diagnose business problems and design creative solutions that align technical and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience operating in complex environments undergoing change or transformation.
  • A bachelor’s degree in associated business disciplines (Geography, Geology, GIS, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines). MBA or post graduate certificate in GIS or related discipline is an asset.
  • You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
  • Attitude and behaviour align with Esri Australia’s core values.
