Welder

Position Overview:

We are looking for a welder to join the team who will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. The role requires the ability to interpret technical drawings, operate welding equipment, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

-Perform welding, fabrication, and assembly of metal components by interpreting technical drawings and selecting appropriate welding methods and materials

-Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, while preparing materials through cutting, grinding, and cleaning to ensure high-quality welds

-Inspect completed welds, identify defects, and carry out repairs or rework to meet required standards and tolerances

-Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of metal structures and equipment across workshop and on-site environments

-Measure, mark, and align materials to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly

-Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, cutters, and drilling equipment as required

-Follow all workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures, maintain a clean work area, and report progress or issues to supervisors

Requirements:

-Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welding) or a related qualification, or at least 2–3 years of relevant work experience

-Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication using MIG, TIG, or Arc welding techniques

-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications

-Strong knowledge of welding methods, materials, and safety procedures

-Good attention to detail with a high standard of workmanship

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team

-Strong commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) practices

-Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
