Your new role
An opportunity exists for a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a busy workshop team based in Melbourne's south-east.In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:
- Performing servicing, maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Completing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
- Conducting inspections and ensuring vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
- Maintaining accurate service records and workshop documentation
- Working closely with operations teams to keep the fleet running efficiently
What you'll need to succeed
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
- Experience maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, trucks or mobile plant equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A current driving licence with an HR licence is highly regarded
