My client is a well-known Australian organisation with a large and complex technology environment. With a significant portfolio of software, hardware, telecommunications and managed services suppliers, they are seeking an experienced Procurement ICT Category Manager to support strategic sourcing, contract management and vendor performance initiatives.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing procurement function and play a key role influencing commercial outcomes across critical technology spend categories.
Your new role
As Procurement ICT Category Manager, you will lead sourcing and category initiatives across ICT spend, working closely with technology, commercial and business stakeholders to deliver value, reduce risk and strengthen supplier performance.
You'll develop category strategies, run end-to-end tender processes, negotiate complex supplier agreements and manage a portfolio of strategic technology vendors. The role will also focus on contract renewals, supplier governance, stakeholder engagement and identifying ongoing commercial improvement opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in ICT Procurement, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing or Vendor Management. Private Sector Background ideally Exposure to technology categories including Software, AI Hardware, Telecommunications and Managed Services. Proven capability leading RFx, sourcing and supplier negotiation activities. Experience managing complex supplier and stakeholder relationships across large organisations. Strong commercial acumen with contract management and vendor governance experience. Ability to analyse spend, identify opportunities and drive measurable business outcomes.What you'll get in return
