Assistant Facilities Manager – Shopping Centre

Our client is seeking a proactive Assistant Facilites Manager to support the delivery of day-to-day operations across a dynamic retail environment on the Gold Coast.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in both operational management and tenancy delivery, contributing to the ongoing performance and presentation of a high-traffic retail setting.
The Role
Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you will assist in overseeing operational functions while supporting the coordination of tenancy delivery and retailer transitions. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations across a retail-focused portfolio/environment
- Assist with tenancy delivery, including retailer onboarding, fit-out coordination, and store openings
- Liaise with retailers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational outcomes
- Monitor contractor performance and assist in service delivery coordination
- Support maintenance, compliance, and presentation standards
- Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and financial administration tasks
- Contribute to a positive customer and retailer experience
About You
- Experience in retail operations, facilities, or property environments
- Exposure to tenancy delivery, fit-outs, or retailer coordination highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational capability
- Proactive and team-focused approach
