About The Role
Your success in this role will be achieved through excellent interpersonal skills, proactive customer focus and consistently willing to go above and beyond for our guests. You’ll have experience as a tour guide and or host within the Tourism sector.
This position will require long periods of time on your feet. The successful applicant will require flexibility with their working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
It is Desirable That You Have:
- Current Senior First Aid
- Police Clearance Certificate
- Willing to obtain an Approved Bar Manager Certificate.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Greeting guests joining our cruises and/or bus tours.
- Provide knowledgeable commentary and quality guest interaction whilst on-board all cruises and tours.
- Deliver quality and immersive river commentary and Discover Rottnest Bus Tours.
- Engage guests with knowledge about the history, culture, geography, flora, and fauna of Rottnest Island.
- Work with the team to provide feedback and product development opportunities to ensure that we are always delivering high quality products.
- Administrative duties, including guest transfers, enquiries and upselling of products
- Providing an educating and engaging commentary of Rottnest Island as well as that for any wildlife sighted
- Maintaining product knowledge and actively upselling merchandise/experiences
- Any other reasonable directions as required
