KEY POINTS WE FOUND
  • Lead the delivery of Council’s Multicultural Strategy and Action Plan.
  • Build partnerships with local organisations and strengthen connections across the service sector.
  • Coordinate community projects and events to improve social, cultural and physical wellbeing.

Serve with purpose. Grow through community.

Blacktown is one of Australia’s most diverse communities. Our Community Development team works with residents, community groups and service providers to strengthen inclusion, participation and community wellbeing across the city.

As Community Development Officer – Multicultural, you lead the delivery of Council’s Multicultural Strategy and Action Plan. You research community needs, analyse demographic trends, meet with residents and service providers, and provide advice that helps Council respond to the priorities of culturally and linguistically diverse communities. You support the Multicultural Advisory Committee, coordinate community projects and events, and help make Council information, facilities and services more accessible and equitable.

You build partnerships with local organisations, strengthen connections across the service sector, and contribute to social planning through community consultation, data collection and analysis. You work closely with colleagues across the Community Development team to deliver practical outcomes that improve the social, cultural and physical wellbeing of Blacktown residents.

Every day offers opportunities to grow through training, mentoring and hands-on experience. Your work helps people feel included, connected and supported, and your contribution makes a visible difference in the community.

If you are passionate about strengthening communities, building partnerships and delivering practical outcomes that matter, we would love to hear from you.
