About the Role
This is a full-time position for a skilled and reliable Carpenter. The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of carpentry and general construction duties across residential and commercial projects.
You will work closely with builders, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with architectural plans, specifications, building standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, building plans, specifications, and measurements.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other building materials.
- Construct and install timber frames, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, doors, windows, and other structures.
- Install and repair doors, window frames, skirting boards, architraves, mouldings, and other timber fixtures.
- Construct formwork and temporary structures for concrete and other construction works.
- Perform carpentry work across residential and commercial construction projects.
- Use a range of hand tools, power tools, and specialised carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work is accurately measured and is level, plumb, square, aligned, and finished to a high standard.
- Join and secure timber and other materials using nails, screws, bolts, adhesives, and appropriate fixing methods.
- Carry out repairs, alterations, renovations, maintenance, and refurbishment work.
- Work with timber, plywood, MDF, particleboard, and other building materials.
- Erect and dismantle restricted-height scaffolding and temporary structures in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Inspect materials and completed work to ensure quality and compliance with plans and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Coordinate effectively with supervisors, builders, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements, building regulations, Australian Standards, and company procedures.
- Identify construction issues and contribute to practical and effective solutions.
- Complete assigned work within project schedules and to the required quality standards.

Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Carpentry or a higher-level qualification in carpentry/building.
- Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant carpentry industry experience.
- White Card.
- Relevant practical knowledge and experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
- Ability to work full-time and in person.
Salary & Employment
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year + superannuation
