Grow with Carseldine and Help Shape What Comes Next

Carseldine is growing, and so is our team. Join us at an exciting stage of the centre’s journey and play a key role in developing our teachers, strengthening the program and shaping what comes next.

We’re looking for a Program Manager who loves great teaching, developing people and creating an environment where teachers and swimmers can thrive.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you’ll champion teaching quality, coach and develop Swim Teachers, and help build a confident and capable team as the centre continues to grow.

The Opportunity:

As Program Manager, you’ll work alongside the Swim School Manager and Customer Experience Manager as part of the centre leadership team.

You’ll take the lead on teaching quality and teacher development, providing coaching, feedback and training to build a confident and capable teaching team.

You’ll also play an important role in recruiting, onboarding and training new teachers and student placements, supporting centre operations and ensuring our swimmers and families receive a consistently high-quality experience.

This isn’t a desk-based management role. You’ll remain hands-on through teaching, supervision, training and day-to-day operations.

In This Role, You Will:

Lead, mentor and develop Swim Teachers through regular coaching and feedback

Champion high-quality teaching and consistent delivery of the Carlile Swim program

Recruit, onboard, train and support new teachers and student placements

Teach and supervise classes, leading by example on pool deck

Support ongoing teacher development, capability and training

Support rostering, scheduling and day-to-day operations

Monitor swimmer progression and help maintain strong program standards

Work closely with the centre leadership team to support centre performance

Champion safeguarding, safety and a positive, high-performing team culture

About You:

You’re an experienced Swim Teacher or aquatic professional who loves developing others and is ready to grow your leadership impact.

You’ll bring:

Strong swim teaching and learn-to-swim program knowledge

Experience supporting, training or developing other team members

Confidence providing coaching and constructive feedback

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Excellent organisation and the ability to balance competing priorities

A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach

A genuine commitment to teaching quality, safeguarding and safety

Current Swim Teacher qualification, CPR, First Aid and Blue Card, or willingness to obtain/update as required

Previous leadership or supervisory experience will be highly regarded. We’re also keen to hear from experienced aquatic professionals who are ready to take the next step into leadership.
