About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth in our service business, we are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our Mackay team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Refrigeration Mechanic or Electrician with commercial HVAC experience who enjoys working autonomously, solving technical challenges, and expanding their expertise across a diverse range of equipment and customer sites.

As part of our team, you'll work on some of the industry's most recognised HVAC systems while receiving ongoing support and training from one of the world's leading building technology companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative maintenance and reactive service work

  • Fault finding, diagnostics, repairs, and commissioning

  • Installation, overhaul, and servicing of commercial mechanical systems

  • Maintenance of equipment ranging from package units and split systems through to chillers and central plant

  • Exposure to Johnson Controls' Building Management Systems (BMS)

  • Preparing quotes for small works and minor projects

  • Site coordination and customer engagement

  • Reading plans and supporting small commercial installation projects

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and building strong customer relationships.

Essential

  • Refrigeration or Electrical Trade Qualification

  • HVAC service and maintenance experience

  • Restricted Electrical Licence

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence

  • Full Australian working rights

Highly Regarded

  • Experience working on chillers and commercial air-conditioning systems

  • Industrial, mining, or large commercial HVAC experience

  • Building Management Systems (BMS) exposure

  • Experience in commissioning and project work
