We’re a family-run business, deeply rooted in values that span generations. As we expand, we’re looking for a Forklift Operator to join us on this exciting journey and play a pivotal role in the future of Rombola Family Farms in Griffith, NSW, Mataranka, NT, Douglas-Daly, NT and Bundaberg, QLD.

About the role:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Forklift Driver will support harvest operations by carrying out a series of jobs including bins' receival, weighting, packing, transporting, and loading of produce into the cool room and trucks as directed.

Key operational accountabilities include:

1. Ensure trailers are loaded in a timely manner.
2. Stack bins in correct group of 3.
3. Load cool room as directed by Packhouse Manager.
4. Stage loads as directed.
5. Ensure seedless cool room drains are clear and flowing.
6. Load bins on and off scales.
7. Stack up made bins.
8. Ensure pallets and cardboard ready for bin makers.
9. Stage loads as directed.
10. Daily Forklift checks completed. Inspecting and controlling equipment to identify wear and damage.
11. Ensure weights in bins are correct.
12. Ensure correct size seedless used when finalising weight.
13. Blow and wipe down bins and seedless.
14. Pallet cap finish goods.
15. Ensure all bin labels are on bins and label info is correct.
16. Ensure Pack Manager is entered correct.
17. Ensure truck is load as directed.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

1. Current unencumbered Driver's Licence
2. Forklift Licence
3. Proven experience as a forklift operator
4. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude
5. Team player who can work effectively with people from different backgrounds
6. Awareness and ability to adhere to rules and procedures
7. Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets
8. Good written and verbal communication skills
