About the Role
ME Medical Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Forensic Psychiatrist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing specialist psychiatric services to forensic and high-risk consumers. This role is part of a comprehensive forensic mental health service that includes outreach, court liaison, threat assessment, Indigenous mental health programs, and parole board support.
As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will:
- Deliver expert forensic mental health input through consultation, intervention, and education.
- Collaborate across various forensic service arms to ensure integrated care.
- Contribute to education and training initiatives within the service.
- Uphold national standards and evidence-based practices in mental health.
- Promote multidisciplinary approaches to assessment and management.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold specialist registration or be eligible for registration with the relevant medical board. Forensic Psychiatrists who trained in the UK and hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) are strongly encouraged to apply.
