    About the role:

    Our client is looking for a Speech Pathologist to work primarily with clients who have conditions affecting learning, such as dyslexia, developmental language disorder (DLD), ADHD, and intellectual disability. The caseload includes children aged 5–18, university students, and adults, often working professionals. While the primary focus is on learning and literacy disorders, a small portion of the caseload includes more conventional paediatric speech work, such as articulation, phonology, and supporting clients with ASD in interpersonal or relational goals. The role involves a range of responsibilities, including:

    • Conducting assessments, interventions, and writing reports
    • Providing evidence-based literacy therapies (e.g. synthetic phonics, narrative structure, paragraph construction)
    • Delivering language-focused interventions (e.g. vocabulary building, spoken grammar and syntax, narrative programs)
    • Occasionally working off-site (e.g. school visits) or via telehealth
    • Being based at the Thornlands clinic with some flexibility in hours for the right candidate
