The Entrance Medical & Specialist Centre is a busy, well-established medical practice that has proudly served the local community of The Entrance and surrounding areas for over 55 years.
As we relocate into our newly built, modern and beautifully designed facility, we are looking for a friendly, energetic and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join our growing practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care and enjoys working as part of a supportive clinical team.
About the Role
You will work within our well-equipped treatment room and collaborate closely with our GPs and practice team to support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice and deliver excellent patient care.
You will be supported by our clinically trained Practice Manager/RN, with opportunities for training, guidance and professional development.
General Practice experience is preferred but not essential. We are happy to provide training and support to the right candidate who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and keen to develop their skills within General Practice.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- General treatment room duties
- INR testing
- Assisting GPs with iron infusions
- Assisting with minor procedures
- Wound management and dressings
- ECGs and spirometry
- Care Plans and Health Assessments
- Immunisations
- Cold Chain Management
- Providing compassionate, professional and patient-centred care
- Working collaboratively with GPs and the wider practice team
Essential Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as an RN or EN
- Nurse Immuniser qualification, or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Flexible, adaptable and positive approach to your work
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Desirable
- Previous General Practice experience
- Experience using Best Practice software
- Experience with treatment room procedures and chronic disease management
