Trades Assistant – (Fabrication work, day shift, $40 ph full-time hours Mon to Fri with early finish on Friday (Carole Park)
- Provide general assistance to the fabrication team.
- Use forklifts to transfer products and assist in fabrication tasks.
- Ensure materials are available and assist with manual handling.
We are urgently seeking a Trade Assistant for work with a highly reputable business located in Carole Park. The role will be a casual to permanent assignment where you will be responsible for providing general assistance to the fabrication team with experience assisting Boilermakers and Fabricators preferred. The position has full- time hours, day shift Monday to Thursday 7.00 am to 3.20 pm Friday 7.00 am – 1.00 pm, hourly rate starting at $40 per hour. Start asap.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Current Drivers Licence and own reliable transport
- Current Forklift Licence and experience required, side loader experience desirable
- Reasonable physical fitness and experience manual handling and use of power tools
- Organised with excellent communication skills
- Be dedicated to safe working practice and have a positive and team focused attitude.
- Two contactable work referees
- Availability to start asap
What you will be doing as a Fabrication Trades Assistant:
- Review workorders ensure materials are available and pre picked and delivered to bay
- Strap and move fabricated work to pre-gal storage
- Use of counterbalance and side loader forklifts to transfer products from factory to yard as required
- Cutting, grinding and deburring of poles and doors
- Labelling stamping and engraving of components
- General labouring and assisting fabricators.
