Quality Builders is a well-established privately-owned Building Company, located in the Eastern Suburbs of Perth specializing in Commercial & Residential Transportable Modular Builds.
An excellent job opportunity exists for experienced and motivated team player to join our company.
With a strong pipeline of projects ahead, we are seeking a candidate to undertake works and be highly specialized in heavy structural steel fabrication.
As a Welder (1st Class) / Fabricator, you will bring skills in metal fabrication and welding to contribute to the creation of products and structures. In this position you would be assisting in the production, assembling, and installing products, as well as performing repairs and maintenance as necessary, all while upholding the highest safety and compliance standards.
The position is full-time 38 hours per week with some overtime on offer, and long-term opportunities for the right personnel. This position is for immediate commencement for right candidate.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- General fabrication of structural steel
- Welding of fabricated parts using an MIG Welder
- General use of Plasma cutter
- Operation of cropper / punch & bandsaw plant
- Ability to read / interpret structural drawings
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
This position will suit candidates who meets the below criteria:
- Min 2 years’ experience in fabrication of structural steel (preferred)
- Trade Qualified (preferred)
- Proven experience in fabrication of steel stud wall framing and trusses
- White Card (desirable)
- Forklift ticket (advantageous)
- Ability to understand, read and follow shop drawings
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Punctual, Reliable and Trustworthy
- Be able to follow and carry out instructions cooperatively and accurately
- Have a can-do attitude and want to learn
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Attention to detail Focused on safety
- Must have a current driver’s license and transport (preferred
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 annually
