About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and talented Cook to join our dynamic team at Stanley's Barn Restaurant in Upper Coomera QLD 4209. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional to showcase their skills and contribute to the success of our acclaimed restaurant.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes from our diverse menu
- Ensuring compliance and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Assisting in menu development and implementation of new recipes and special event catering.
- Monitoring inventory and placing orders to maintain adequate supplies
- Adhering to budgetary guidelines and controlling food costs
- Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen environment
What we're looking for
- Formal culinary qualification (Certificate IV in commercial cookery or equivalent)
- Must have a minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong technical cooking skills and a passion for creating exceptional dishes
- Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Available Wednesday through Sunday ( plus Public Holidays)
