Tiamo Cafe and Restaurant is looking for an experienced and passionate (ANZSCO: ******-Cook) to join our culinary team in Nedlands, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment where creativity, quality, and culinary excellence are at the heart of everything we do. You will be instrumental in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen management.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Quality control
- Maintaining temperature along with monitoring, and record- keeping.
- Food preparation, portion control, plating, and garnishes.
- Food storage following the FIFO method and waste management (HACCP).
- Assisting with menu planning and estimating requirements.
- Training other kitchen staff and apprentices.
- Ensuring health and safety in the workplace.
- Undertaking cleaning and sanitation in the kitchen.
- Working as a team, respecting the work environment.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) relevant certificate (Certificate III in commercial cookery or Certificate IV in Kitchen Management).
- Dietary Compliance and Health regulation knowledge.
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience working within a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.
- Relevant experience of 3 years or more will be highly prioritised during shortlisting.
