The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a caring and reliable individual to clean and maintain Bega Valley Shire Council’s Companion Animal Facility (Dog and Cat Pound) and provide sustenance and care for all animals housed within the facility.
As a Companion Animal Facility Cleaner and Carer, you will clean and maintain the cattery, dog kennels, office and amenities areas, while ensuring facility records are kept accurate and up to date. You will also provide food, water and daily care to impounded animals and assist with monitoring animal behaviour for rehoming assessment purposes.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a current NSW Class C Driver Licence and has three (3) years' demonstrated experience in animal handling, animal care, and cleaning and sanitisation within an animal boarding facility or similar environment.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated skills in animal handling and management.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Benefits
This is a casual position working varying hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $43.78 gross per hour (inclusive of casual loading and superannuation), comprising of:
- $31.27 per hour base salary
- $7.82 casual loading (calculated at 25%)
- $4.69 per hour superannuation (calculated at 12%)
