Your new company
This State Government organisation works closely with a range of agencies and stakeholders to support the delivery of community focused programs and emergency management initiatives across Western Australia. Operating in a fast paced environment, the team plays an important role in coordinating support services, information and resources during periods of increased community need.Based south of the river, this opportunity sits within a collaborative operational team responsible for supporting response and recovery activities across the State. You will join a supportive workplace where strong customer service and administrative skills are highly valued, while contributing to the delivery of essential services for Western Australian communities.
Your new role
Responding to inbound calls from impacted residents and providing information on available support services Referring clients to relevant government and non-government agencies
Maintaining accurate records, databases and client information systems
Providing administrative support to Community Recovery Officers and project teams
Preparing reports, correspondence and other documentation as required
Managing team correspondence, calendars and file management systems
Updating records and ensuring compliance with record keeping requirements
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support recovery operations
Assisting with information collation, reporting and operational support activities
Contributing to process improvements and efficient team operations

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a high volume phone based customer service environment Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and empathetic approach
Ability to remain calm and resilient when handling sensitive or difficult conversations
Strong administration and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Well developed organisational and time management skills
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also working autonomously
Experience working with vulnerable clients, community services, contact centres or government environments will be highly regarded
