Job Description:

Role title: Clinical Pharmacist

Role type: Permanent, full time

Role grade: Pharmacist, Grade 1 (Year 1-5) or Pharmacist, Grade 2 (Year 1-3)

Shift details: Monday to Friday role with weekend and on-call rosters

Department and location: Pharmacy, St Vincent’s Public Hospital, Sydney

Salary: $87,083.43 to $128,898.29 + Super + Salary packaging

About the role

  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients including drug dispensing, distribution and medication counselling.

  • Deliver accurate and timely drug information to patients and staff to support safe and effective medication use.

  • Rotational role offering diverse experience and exposure across a wide range of specialties

  • Collaborate with our friendly and supportive pharmacy team to ensure high standards of patient care.

  • Participate in core departmental operations with a focus on safety, quality and

  • Engage in orientation and structured training programs, with ongoing support to develop skills in clinical pharmacy, dispensing, and drug information.

About you

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist with unrestricted scope of practice.

  • Strong clinical drug knowledge and commitment to ongoing professional development.

  • Ability to participate in weekend and on-call rosters as required.

  • Understanding of formulary management principles and practical application of formulary decisions in a hospital setting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with patients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and within a team, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
